We were delighted to host a relaxed Senior Executive Dinner, Drinks Reception, and Roundtable Discussion at the glamorous 14 Stories London. The evening brought together peers and some of the brightest minds from leading UK companies and brands, creating a unique opportunity to connect and exchange ideas.
Guests enjoyed an engaging programme of discussion, including real-time case studies, while sharing experiences and broadening their perspectives. It was an evening designed to inspire conversation, foster collaboration, and expand knowledge in an exceptional setting.
Topic Overview
Many organisations had already invested significant effort in developing a Data Strategy. However, with the rapid rise of generative AI and large language models, it was natural to question whether that work still held value. Some were even considering whether a separate, standalone AI Strategy was required alongside it.
In this session, we explored why a strong Data Strategy remained the essential foundation for successful AI adoption. We discussed how Generative AI could unlock new use cases while complementing existing data and analytics capabilities. Although Gen AI models were incredibly powerful, they needed to be applied thoughtfully to the right problems. As with all data initiatives, the key question remained: how could this technology be harnessed to deliver real business value?
The event provided practical guidance on how AI could be integrated into, or aligned with, existing or future Data Strategies. The discussion also covered how to effectively communicate these concepts to executives eager to implement AI, and where meaningful value could be realised at a strategic level.
When applied correctly, a cohesive Data and AI Strategy has the potential to unlock cost savings, improve operational efficiency, and enable better decision-making. Over the course of the session, attendees gained the confidence to guide their organisations in advancing their data and AI agenda in a world increasingly shaped by rapid technological change.
